Sunday Salmon.

This weekend has been a busy one! On Friday night, I hit Belfast for my good friend's 30th birthday! It was a great night out, but I had one too many margaritas to be able to strut in my stilts!
I spent Saturday working and eating, and ended up crashing pretty early!
My boyfriend's uncle who is an avid fisherman, caught us an amazing wild salmon which we had for dinner tonight. It.was.super.tasty. I drowned the fish (kind of ironic) in lemon and lime. YUM.
I have zero photos from the 30th birthday party! Which is what usually happens when cocktails are involved! Even though most people become snappy happy.
However, I did buy a few new shiny things, and so I thought I'd upload some photos of them...

Orange Midi Dress, £46 Topshop.

Red High Waisted Culottes, £35 Topshop.

Violet Nail Polish, £5 Topshop.

Dark Queen Chess Piece Pearl Bracelet.
(Present from my boyfriend :))

Jammy Dodger Ring. (Another present from my boyf)!

I don't have much planned for this week, apart from work! I go away on holiday in 3 weeks, so I'm saving for that! I'm super duper excited to finally get some summer sun!
So im off to watch Juno now! Hope you all had a lovely weekend! Leave me a wee comment and let me know about it!

Exposure.

I feel like I should be uploading more photos of myself, and the outfits I choose to wear, however, I never seem to have time to stop and take a picture. I always seem to be running 10 minutes late, but that's the charm of me!
I will make more of an effort from now on, and to start me off, I scrounged up some old photos of myself and thought I would try out Picnik on them!
As I don't have Photoshop, this is the next best thing to edit photos, and it's free!

Remember...these photos are oldies! Hopefully there will be plenty newbies to come :)

First outfit : Top-Primark, Skirt-Zara, Shoes-Topshop, Necklace-Mama San.
Second outfit : Playsuit-Topshop, Bow Broach-Topshop.

This is definitely not the world's best editing, but practice makes perfect...maybe i should just get photoshop...

Lust List

Lust List

I need to win the lottery!

Being a relatively new blogger, I have just stumbled across the wonders of Polyvore! This is my first attempt, and I plan on doing many more 'sets' as they call them! This is a mixture of high street and designer, so I will be lusting after some of these pieces forever!
I did however treat myself to an Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar, and am now addicted! I want lots more colours! They are fantastic for a  night out, and a little really does go a loooonnngggg way!

Would love you to leave a wee comment! I enjoy reading every single one!

deterimination.

So, my River Island goodies arrived! However, I was sorely disappointed. It was mainly a case of, oh my, that looked much better in the online image! And partly a case of the double D's!
Here is what I got anyway...

I loved the print on this vest top, along with the pocket detail. It fit perfectly everywhere except the bust area, so it will have to go back :( I had planned to team it with the purple peg leg trousers below...

These trousers were disappointing. They looked much better online, and even my photo does not show what the trousers are really like! They are unflattering and a material that I would imagine wouldn't wash well!

The only item that I am keeping from my online RI spree is this tan tie dye top. It also came in a super summery cornflower blue. I am now regretting not getting it also. This is the perfect casual top. Will be lovely with denim shorts!

I thought these sandals would be a brighter yellow, especially going by the online image. But they are a great daytime heel and quite comfy on, if a little tight round the toes! I don't love them enough to keep them though!

This was a spontaneous store bought bargain! I love the colourful floral pattern, the bow on the waistband, and the girly frills around the hem.

I also made a HUGE impulse purchase. Must have been an impulse on steroids, as I bought myself the HOUSE OF HARLOW ring that was featured in one my my wish lists a while back! It is still to arrive, but I will upload photos when it does.

I was counting the weeks left until my holiday, and there's six and a half to go! So I am determined to get into shape. But after only two sessions at the gym, I am ruined! I gave myself the day off today...it's Sunday!! But I am spinning and jumping right back into it tomorrow.

Im off to watch Marley and Me now on Channel 4, followed by In her Shoes! I love Sundays on Channel 4 :)
I'm going to enjoy it with a Galaxy Ripple fruit salad, and cola iced water!

There's no hope for me!

Hope you had a good weekend! Leave a wee comment, would love to hear about it!

Saturday 2 July 2011

money burns a hole in my pocket.

The words, Pay day + Sale time in the same sentence are like liquid cocaine to my fashion addiction. So this pay day I dropped quite a bundle. I OD'd :)
The River Island sale has some amazing pieces at even better prices. There are lots in sale that I LOVED when they were full price! Glad I waited now!
I will upload photos of what I purchased when they arrive! I'm excited :)

I was disappointed with the Topshop sale, as I didn't see anything I liked.
Dorothy Perkins have some good pieces on sale, and to make things even better they're giving an extra 10% discount online! I usually overlook DP, but they sometimes have lovely prints, and are good for blouses and plain tees. I'm contemplating getting this blouse...

Reduced from £28 to £17! (£15.30 if bought online)!

While I was passing time waiting on my boyfriend finishing work, I bought myself a few things from Primark and Carousel. Primark have  some lovely pieces, and they don't even need to be on sale! They have nice plain vest blouses in lovely bright pinks, blues and yellows. They also have some nice clashing two-toned tops and cool printed tees. They had gorge peg leg seven eighths, but they didn't have my size...I'll be keeping an eye on those!
I was on the lookout for a nice cardigan, but didn't find one :( If anyone has any suggestions on where I could get one please let me know!!
Here is what I bought...

Mustard Pocket Detail Blouse. £8 Primark.

Beaded Bracelet (with bell)!! £8, Carousel at Karine & Co.

Matching Hoop Earrings and Bracelets from Boots.
My wee mum bought me these for my holidays and I LOVE THEM.

I'm sure over the weekend I'll have a few more purchases to report, so I will keep you updated. I'm off to have a snoop around ASOS, and I also have my eye on an 'A La Tart' ring from Punky Allsorts......

If you like my wee blog, I would love you to become a follower, and I also love reading every single little comment :)

Hope you have a lovely weekend!
