Weekend without make-up.

Monday Monday.
My weekend was filled with work, and so didn't get up to anything even mildly interesting. The highlight of my weekend was getting stuck into some glossy magazines and rented DVD's.
Thanks to this, I have a whole new wish list, even though I'm still pining after my old one...
Here is what I spied with my little eye...

Image from PRShot.

This colour block satchel is £9 from Primark, but won't be in store until July. I love the fringe detail and the colour clash.

Renewal Button Blouse Playsuit £48.

Love this print! This is from the vintage section of Urban outfitters, and vintage dressing doesn't get much better than this! The lightweight material is perfect for Summer sun too! That's if we ever get any!

Lolly Soaps. Watermelon and Grapefruit scents. £4.50 each from Feel Unique.

These are AMAZING. There is also a third scent of orange, and to make things even better, when they're finished, they reveal a 10% discount code on the stick! They're only limited edition, so I think I'm going to treat myself to the watermelon one. Or maybe all three :)

Over the weekend, I did catch myself cheating on fashion with cosmetics, and these are the pieces I treated myself to...

I love this wash bag from Paperchase! Going to use it as a make-up bag for now, then wash bag for holidays :)

Favourite body butter EVER. love the coconut smell and the slight shimmer is perfect.

Bought this loose powder to set my make-up. Loving it so far!

Barry M Mint Green nail polish. And my Lulu Guinness Rose rings.

This is gorge! It almost looks like an aqua blue in the photos of it on my nails, but that's just my rubbish camera. It's a lovely mint green shade, and perfect for Summer! Really want a yellow one next :)

I'm off to another card making class tonight with my boyfriends family. I'll take a few photos and show you my card masterpiece! Tonight's theme is 'It's a Boy/Girl!'. If only I was going to a Dressmaking class to learn how to make my own clothes...sigh.

Till next time!

Matalan Mad.

I was trawling my usual online shops, when I thought, "why not check out Matalan?" When I visit my local Boucher Road store I always come out with a few lovely pieces, and I never break out in a guilt sweat because I spent too much money. Matalan offers stylish chic fashion at fabulous prices, and I love that :)

I found LOTS on the website that I might just invest in when pay day rolls around next week. This is what I have my eye on...

Be Beau Vintage Floral Tiered Top. £13.

This would be lovely with 'roughed-up' skinny blue jeans. Maybe with a block coloured cardigan for during the day, if the Summer continues to masquerade as mid-October wet and windy weather.

Sheer Kimono Black Shirt. £15

I am addicted to sheer blouses at the minute, and thought this one would be lovely with a pair of shorts. Also, could be nice for work, (if worn with a top underneath)!

Tribal Print Tunic. £14.

This wee tribal tunic would be lovely for when the sun comes out with a nice pair of gladiator sandals and a lovely golden tan! I want this for my holidays!

Garden Flower Tie Front Top. £12.

I would love this tie top with a pair of denim shorts, or tapered leg trousers. I love the Garden Flower print and it is a GREAT price!
Tribal Print Hanky Hem Top. £10.

I am loving this tribal print which seems to be everywhere at the minute. This light top would be lovely with a clashing print pair of shorts or just plain khaki shorts. OH I want the summer sun!!

Papaya Rope Tie City Short. £12.

OOHHHH I love these shorts a little too much. The print, the shape, the rope tie....EVERYTHING. These are a sure buy for me and I'll be sure to wear them with gladiator sandals or a lovely pair of wedges. On top, maybe just a plain tee or dare to go for a clashing print on top :)

Faux Leather Stud Seam Gilet. Was £28 Now £14.

I loved this when it first appeared in a full sleeve jacket version in Matalan, but i love this gilet. Looks a lot more expensive than it is and would look great with most outfits. Would also transfer great into Indian Summer and Autumn.

Bugal Beaded Stripy Gladiator Sandal. £14.

These are fantastic! This image does not do them justice. The beading down the front makes them appear more expensive, and the clashing floral printed straps are right on trend.

Espadrille Sock Detail Platform. £20.

These platform wedges are perfect for Summer. The tan leather with the espadrille straps are lovely. Amazing wee price too, for heels!

Floral Canvas Duffle Bag. £8.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. This is such a STEAL. The vintage floral print is super cute, and the duffle bag style is one of my faves. The tassel too is a stylish bonus!

OH MY. I found a lot on Matalan's website.
I also found out they have a 'Matalan Style Project' which I would LOVE to take part in! Still not sure how to apply, but I'm sure I'll get there.

Take a look at Matalan's blog and you can vote for the bloggers who are taking part in this month's 'Style Project'.

Hope you're having a lovely little week :)

two little days off :)

So I had yesterday and today off, and all to myself. I had nothing planned, but that's what I enjoy the most. The French have a phrase which goes, "Je voudrais flâner avec toi" meaning I would like to walk around aimlessly with you, and I think this is one of life's greatest privileges, to plan to do nothing :)

Monday morning started off with a humid two mile walk along the River Lagan. I love good walks in the morning, they really wake me up and put me in a great mood. I got ready and headed round to my parents house to visit them and my pup Tyler, (who isn't really a pup anymore). Later that evening, I picked my boyfriend up from work, we went home and made DELICIOUS, but extremely spicy chili beef burritos with tons of salad. We watched an early evening movie, then decided to 'flâner' down the towpath along the Lagan. It was lovely, we are so lucky to live right beside it. We got to see baby ducklings, swans and their ADORABLE cygnets, creepy staring cows and some water hens.

Here are my Monday photos....

This is my pup Tyler.

My dad's shoes which I LOVE. His Barker Brogues. I want a pair so bad.

Tyler and Me :)

Where we live. Our gates from the inside :)

My wee floral peep toe River Island shoes.

Mummy Swan.

Mummy swan with her babies :) they're amazing.

Topshop grey shirt. Topshop double breasted stripe cardigan. Leggings.  River Island floral peep toe espadrille pumps.

Today started off with making a card for my cousin in London who just got engaged. I recently started going to a small card making class with my boyfriend's family and made my dad a super cute Father's Day card, so my mum wanted me to make one for Cheriee's engagement. I didn't have much material to make it with but I made a simple pink one for her.
Later in the afternoon, I went to the library to get myself a cheesy crime novel as I read them like a machine. SUPER FAST. I love the 'omg who done it' aspect to them. They are great to escape into.
Afterwards, I waited at my mum and dad's again until my boy finished work and I got to hang out with 'Big T' again, aka Tyler.

My boyfriend and I are just chilling out tonight, maybe get stuck into '24' again, and get an early night, as I go back to work tomorrow :(
I'll leave you with some photos from today! Hope you had a good start to your week! Let's hope the sunny weather comes back!!

The wee card I made.

Tyler and I. Chillin'

My outfit. Topshop gold silk blouse. Sparkle and Fade maroon cardigan. Velvet-look leggings. River Island Loafers. Topshop vintage look pearl, floral cameo necklace.

My wee family. LOVE.

Our wee apartment. And my window flowers!!

Therapy Work.

I work part-time in the home department of House of Fraser. I work with china, bedlinens and some lovely home furnishings. However, yesterday, on a busy Saturday, I was sent to help out downstairs in the women's fashion department. They have some lovely collections down there, from 'Biba' to 'Whistles', 'DAY Birger et Mikkelsen' to 'Ted Baker'. I was helping out at one of their unestablished home brands, 'Therapy'. I never really checked out their collection before, but they really do have some lovely pieces, so I thought I would post some pictures on my blog.

These are some of the items I thought were lovely, and some are even in sale at great prices!

Coral high waisted shorts. Was £35 Now £25.

I love these shorts! And the colour of them. They would be lovely for a nice summer lunch date with a sheer white blouse, and tan brogues. I love how plain they are, and how they have a slight vintage look to them.

Ditsy Pussybow Blouse. Was £45 Now £20.

This blouse would be lovely either with skinny jeans, jeggings, or some black leather-look leggings. It's slightly longer at the back than the front, and this is great for with leggings, because I think bums should be always covered when wearing leggings! I wouldn't have put a white tank top underneath the blouse, I would've went for a darker colour, or if I'm feeling brave, just a nice plain black bra.

Beaded Bolero. Was £120 now £60.

This still isn't the cheapest, but with all the intricate beading, it's not a bad price. Again I love the vintage feel to this, and would sparkle up any black outfit. I would actually team this with the coral shorts above :) gorge.

Tribal Tunic Dress. Was £32 Now £22.

LOVE the print on this. I would just wear it exactly like this, with the legs out :) It's almost like an oversized t-shirt dress and so I think it would be better with a heel. Would also be nice on holiday for over a bikini during the daytime heat!

Plastic Frame Yellow Clutch £40.

Unfortunately this isn't in sale, but I love the bright colour and the black clasp frame. Would surely brighten up any outfit, and I think it would go perfectly with this skirt....

Vintage Floral Pleated Skirt Was £40 Now £20.

Ahhhh I love this skirt :) This midi length is everywhere at the minute, and this vintage floral print is fantastic. The yellow clutch would bring out the yellow in the pattern and would be best with a plain t-shirt or blouse as the print is so busy. Nude shoes go well with the skirt, and they lengthen the legs too if the midi length is an awkward one for you!

There are lots more gorgeous pieces in the 'Therapy' range, including an amazing black and white polka-dot playsuit which I couldn't find a photo of, lovely patterned tights, quirky jewellery, and accessories like scarves, belts and hats. This brand deserves a lot more praise, or maybe we should keep it a little well kept secret :)

Cya later :)

shoesshoesshoes.

SHOES.

My boyfriend doesn't understand my need for so many pairs of shoes. I don't even understand my own need to have so many, but oh my gosh I love them all. I can't describe the feeling I get when I go shoe shopping, or just 'slip' into a shoe shop, but my eyes widen, my pulse speeds and my tummy fizzes :)

Shoes can really make or break an outfit, but to be honest, I never really intentionally match shoes to an outfit, I just wear the shoes that I'm in the mood for!

Now I don't play favourites with my shoes, but I'm gonna post photos of a few that I love love love at the moment.

My rubbish photography skills do them no justice. I got these babes in Forever 21 in NYC when I was dragging my boyfriend around shops in Times Square at midnight :) i heart NYC.  We traipsed through the 5 floors of the shop, then I saw these beauts and just had to get them! I wear them a little too often, so they have slightly softened but I still love them as much as ever. I love wearing them with skinny jeans and a t-shirt to excite a casual look, or with tanned pins, shorts and a blouse for dinner and cocktails. love.

These are my 'Wonder Woman' shoes. I remember when I first saw them in Office in Brighton. They came in a more safe Black or Gold version, but after one summer pint with my friend I decided to splurge :) and I am so glad I did. I never ever ever match these shoes with an outfit because they are just so crazy anyway, but they are great with dresses or daytime shorts in the summer time. And to make things even better, they are my most comfortable shoes :)

These are my fail safe super high black suede platforms. These photos DO NOT portray just how high they are. I would hate to see myself walk in them after a few Sailor Jerry's! But I love them and of course they go with everything. And because of the style and colour they will never date, they are timeless. I keep these for nights out with the girls, super chic SUPER HIGH. (p.s. excuse the dull black work uniform. boringggg).

These are the cutest shoes EVER. My boyfriend surprised me with them. I woke up one morning with an adorable black and white polka dot package outside our apartment door...it was these cuties! They are almost like little peep toe ankle boots, and are just lovely with skinny jeans. Again my photographs are rubbish, such a shame, they don't highlight how lovely the little bows are.

These are the shoes I wear non-stop during the day now. I just cannot get out of loafers or brogues. I got my first pair of brogues about 5 years ago and I STILL wear them. I got these loafers in River Island not that long ago and have reaallyy got my  wear out of them. They go with absolutely everything and are super comfy. Would love a more structured pair in a deep burgundy red colour. mmm.

I'm going to leave it there for now, simply because my camera battery is empty, but I have farrrr too much still to show you, and the collection is still on going :)
I'm off now to watch 24. I LOVE JACK BAUER.

So night night
